In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Termini is practically next door — Guest reviews consistently single out the location: the main station is about a 3-minute walk away, with buses, metro and hire-car drop-off all convenient. The Colosseum is around 15 minutes on foot.
  • Staff are the strongest asset — The 9.1 staff rating is the highest category for the property. Reviews mention a 24/7 reception, help with early check-in, and one standout case where the team arranged five nights at a sister hotel for stranded guests.
  • Rooms are clean and practical — Rooms score 8.4, and several guests describe them as spotless, comfortable and well equipped for a city stay. One reviewer specifically praised the soundproofing, another the air conditioning.
  • Breakfast gets frequent praise — The morning spread covers toast, cereal, cakes, eggs and cheese on request, with coffee, juice and pastries too. Dining rates 8.1, just above the hotel’s overall score.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Station-side noise can be noticeable — Street noise is part of being next to Rome’s main station; one guest noticed it but accepted it as expected. Another reviewer found the rooms’ soundproofing very good, which offsets it.
  • Parking is convenient but pricey — The garage sits right beside the hotel, but one guest described parking as really expensive and the staff as unfriendly at best. Valet parking is available if you prefer to skip that interaction.
  • The quad’s extra beds are a sofa bed — In the Quadruple Room, two of the four beds are a fold-out sofa. One family found it uncomfortable and squeaky with any movement, so check the setup before booking.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel’s policy is no pets, so the property will not suit travellers with dogs or cats.

“Breakfast was more than adequate and savoury, with toast, cereal, cakes, and eggs and cheese available on request. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. The location was great, close to Rome’s airport and main train stations, and we were allowed an early check-in. The main sights were about 15 minutes away on foot.”

8.1Verified guest

“The room was spotless and practical, with two separate beds. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, including cheese, toast, cereals, cakes and eggs.”

8.1Verified guest

“The hotel felt very central: Termini station was a short walk in one direction and the major sights about fifteen minutes in the other. At the discounted rate it was cheap by central Rome standards. The room had air conditioning, and breakfast was decent, with slices of tinned pineapple and plenty of croissants. Staff were very helpful. Soundproofing seemed excellent – I rarely heard other guests apart from occasional corridor noise. Noon checkout left plenty of time for a relaxed departure.”

“My wife and I stayed during the volcanic eruption, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, breakfast had plenty to eat, and the location was excellent for buses and trains. When the ash cloud stopped us from getting home, reception found us five nights at a sister hotel at a much reduced rate – that is what makes a good hotel great.”

8.1Verified guest

“The location was decent, a short way from a pleasant historic square with good restaurants and touristy shops. Parking is really expensive though, and the parking staff are unfriendly at best. The garage, if you can call it that, is right next to the hotel.”

8.1Verified guest

“Clean and good value for money. The location is also convenient, with a scooter rental shop nearby.”
